| I have come to the determination that I am a little tired of being cold. Ha ha! I also have determined that the only good thing about cold weather and snow is that it gives me a good excuse to sew all day, inside, in the warmth! Starry Path Back by popular demand! This project has taken the math out of making blocks with multiple angles and no paper piecing. Just cut and piece! Make it in multiple sizes, using the multi sized templates from Marti Michell. 6", 9" , or 12 " blocks can be made to make any size quilt you want. Crown Jewels This difficult looking pattern is a cinch using the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool and construction process. The units are strip pieced and assembled with no “Y” seams. Beginner Quilting Whether you are a beginner quilter or someone that needs to get back to the basics, this is the class for you. Learn the step by step process of cutting, piecing and creating a quilt top. Nine different basic blocks, sashing, border and binding techniques taught in this class. You will be well on your way in the world of quilting at the end of this class. This is a 6 session class. Each class is 2 hours long. All Scrapped Out When your quilts give you mountains of scraps its time to give them a purpose. This project will give you an opportunity to improve your rotary cutting, piecing and confidence to create a pleasing finished top. Practice, practice and more practice will make a happier quilter. Accurate cutting and pressing techniques A square quilt starts at the beginning and that is at the cutting table. Using your rulers correctly, and having rulers that you can read, is of the utmost importance. Let us show you during this demo the use of several different types of rulers to get better accuracy. We will also cover some basic pressing techniques, for logical reasons in pressing, that the pattern you are using may not tell you. Saturday, February 28th from 10-12 with Kelly Davis |

Sew In Days
Every Tuesday and Friday from 10-5, Hoppin Bobbin hosts a Sew in Day. Bring a project and all of your supplies and have a great day sewing with friends. Bring a covered dish to share. If you are planning on staying the day, please fill the parking spots in the rear of the building first. This enables new customers to find parking in the front of the building.
We will reveal our Quilt for the Quilts Around the Bay Quilt this week. Check out the QATB Facebook page to see ours and all of the other shops' blocks throughout the month of January! In February all of the Quilts will be posted from all 9 shops. Remember, if you visit each shop during the shop hop, you will get their block pattern for FREE!
